Second floor in my home is extremely hot in the summers and extremely cold in the winters. This problem is most extreme in my daughter's bedroom which is above our mudroom and garage. I would like to know if adding insulation under and above her room and the rest of the attic would improve temperatures in her room and everywhere else on the second floor.

We have a basement crawl space that is letting in cold air because there is no insulation against the outside brick walls. We've been advised by our boiler heating man to look into getting foam insulation sprayed against the bricks. I doubt we need 'encapsulation' because we have never had a problem with moisture, dampness, insects, etc. though there is a dirt floor. Can you spray foam insulate for us?
